Gran Avila and Casa Laguerta: providing housing opportunities to hardworking Filipinos

A house is probably the best place on Earth. It can protect you from the danger and calamities outside. It gives you a more secured and more comfortable feeling. It provides us space that we can call our own. A house, like food and water, is a basic need of mankind. We cannot live without a shelter. We’ll suffer from severe heat or severe cold. Like education, having a house is every person’s right, much to the perseverance of an individual. However, in light of the recent situation of poverty that many of us experiences, owning a house seems like a dream that will never come true. This is the very reason why Stateland Inc. was established- to materialize what ordinary people only visualize.

In its more than three decades of existence and leadership in real estate industry in the Philippines, Stateland continues to provide Filipinos durable and quality houses in well-established and well-balanced communities. Now, Filipinos need not to spend too much in owning a house, because Stateland offers socialized and economic housing projects in the heart of Calamba, Laguna. The two soon-to-rise communities in Barangay Majada, the Gran Avila, and Casa Laguerta in Barangay Laguerta will bring new perspectives in the lives of hard working Filipinos.

Inspired by the idea of being in a timeless and harmonious community, Gran Avila was named after the highest provincial capital in Spain, the Avila which means “City of Saints”. Gran Avila offers four types of model units which are all musically-inspired: the Alto, Solo, Stanza and Legato. With varying floor and lot areas, families can enjoy the intimate spaces together while enjoying the serene and environment-friendly picturesque of the community. Various amenities are also offered to ensure the safety, convenience and recreation of the future homeowners. Houses are also inspired by modern-themed architectural designs with different color schemes to choose from to suit every families’ individual taste and design. Aside from being in a modern yet relaxing community, future homeowners will also enjoy the community’s location because of its nearness to several commercial establishments, schools, churches, medical services and banks

A few blocks away from the Gran Avila, another community will also be rising. The Casa  Laguerta, the 7.46 hectares socialized housing project of Stateland Inc. is fit for every starting family who plans of having a family of their own. Gabay Guro grand prize winner visits her new home

16 November 2013– What seems to be a normal open house for Gran Avila turns out to be more special because of the presence of Gabay Guro house and lot grand winner, Annalyn Dizon and her family.

Accompanied by her mother, sister, niece and daughter, Ms. Annalyn visited the Gran Avila site where her new home will be built. Last October 26, the high school teacher from Bacoor National High School won the house and lot grand prize in the Gabay Guro Grand Gathering at SM Mall of Asia Arena. The one-storey, single attached Solo house model of Stateland Inc.’s newest economic housing project, Gran Avila, will be given away to the family of the grand prize winner.

Mrs. Aida Agulto, mother of Annalyn, expressed her joy and delight when she learned her daughter won a house and lot. The 79-year old mother of three did not expect that such great fortune will come along their way. “Naiyak talaga ako noong tinawagan nila ako at sinabi nyang nanalo siya ng bahay. Biruin mo, sa dami ng mga nagpunta doon, siya pa ang pinalad na manalo. Biyaya talaga iyan ng Panginoon sa kanya” (I really got emotional when I first learned that she won a house and lot. There are thousands of them in that event, and it was her who was declared the winner. It was really a blessing for her from God). Her sister Lorraine Anne, also a co-teacher at the same school where she teaches, was also there when she was announced the winner. “Hindi naman namin inakala na sa kanya palang number yung tinatawag. Sobrang blessing talaga sa kanya, sa amin.” (We didn’t really expect that the winning number was from her number. It was such a big blessing for her and for all of us also).  Just last year, Annalyn was also able to attend the grand gathering but wasn’t fortunate enough to win any of the prizes stored for the teachers. “Siguro ito talaga yung oras ko para manalo kasi last year nag-eexpect din ako, lahat kami, pero wala.” (Perhaps this year is really my time. I was also there last year, and I was expecting something to come my way, but it I’ve got nothing last year). Also a mother of three and a wife of an OFW, Annalyn knows that life is not a bed of roses. She and her husband are working so hard to provide the needs of their family, especially their children.  According to her, they are really planning to buy a house of their own but they are having second thoughts about it because of the expenses that they have to incur. “Tuwang-tuwa yung asawa ko noong binalita ko sa kanya na nanalo kami ng bahay at lupa. Pati yung mga anak ko excited ng makita yung bago naming titirhan. Hanggang ngayon hindi pa din kami makapaniwa, sobrang saya namin” (My husband was overjoyed when I told him about us winning a new house and lot. Even my kids are very excited to see our new home. We still cannot believe that a great fortune came to us, we are really very happy).

Ms. Delie Chua, First Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Stateland, Inc. accompanied and oriented them about the developments of the site. “It’s so nice to fulfill yet another dream of a Filipino family to have a decent and quality home of their own. We are happy that we became an instrument of changing the lives of a Filipino family. I hope they will be happy in their new house once it will be turned over to them” Chua remarked. Annalyn and her family are expected to move-in in their new home in the second quarter of 2014. As of this writing, Gran Avila has an on-going land development and construction of houses will commence next year.

Gran Avila, located in Barangay Majada in Calamba, Laguna is the latest economic housing project of Stateland, Inc. The project encompasses 16.25 hectares of prime land, inspired by modern-themed architectural designs. Few kilometers away from Gran Avila is the Casa Laguerta, another socialized housing project of Stateland, Inc. This project located in Barangay Laguerta encompasses 7.47 hectares of flat terrain with also modern-themed architectural designs.
