We often complain and drag ourselves to work every Monday. Maybe because we think Sunday is not enough for ourselves and our family or for whatever reasons we have, Monday just so happens to be the most hated day of the week. So we figured out a couple of ways on how we can jump start our work week. Beat the awful blues with a positive attitude and good vibes. We hope these 5 ways will help you accomplish that 😉
1. DON’T SNOOZE.
Familiar of the expression “You snooze, you lose.”? That’s a 100% fact. Try to wake up early instead and beat your alarm. Maybe get up a little earlier than your usual. Waking up early will give us the time to prepare breakfast, and perhaps squeeze in a little time for exercise. That way we’ll be energized all throughout the day. There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying our first cup of coffee or tea in the morning and not rushing to work, right?
2. MAKE A TO-DO LIST
Avoid cramming. Make a to-do list and post it beside your work desk. Start your week by being organized and you’ll be surprised by how things will fall into place one by one. Having a guide on what needs to get done ASAP and what to do next will surely help you concentrate and get things done.
3. TAKE MINI BREAKS
Don’t hesitate to take a mini break whenever you’re feeling stressed. Don’t overload yourself with work. With so many things piled up on your desk after the weekend, it’s impossible to not feel tired at some point. Try to take it slow, save your energy to avoid early burnout.
4. SQUEEZE YOUR CREATIVE JUICES
Try to hold your brainstorming activities every Monday. Keep the spirits up by starting the week creatively. Boost the entire team’s creativity and turn the lame Monday into a productive day.
5. PLAN YOUR WEEK AHEAD
Pump up your week by planning ahead. Though some people plan their week during Sundays, why not try planning yours on a Monday? You will most likely get excited about the things that are about to come your way. Plus, you’ll have Sunday all to yourself and this way, you’re more inspired and motivated through the week.
Oh, and don’t forget to put on some good music in the background too 😉
